Lack of Balance

The app is somewhat acceptable, but not great. Philips did not appear take the opportunity to balance good hardware with good software , in this case the software that heavily influences customers opinion of the Hue product line.
There is a ton of potential for what is app could be and do. Hopefully they will re-think the app.
